Visa Application Fee increases
The Australian Government announced a planned 5.4% increase to lodgement fees for almost all visa applications lodged on or after 1 July 2019.
Now that the Department of Home Affairs has published the new fee table, we have seen an average increase of 5.4% – 9% on most visa types. The maximum increase was to the subclass 188 Business Innovation and Investor visa which increased from $3,755 to $5,375, representing an increase of 43%.
New Government fees based on the increase for some common visa types are below:

We recommend that applicants submit any pending applications before the end of June 2019 (where possible) in order to avoid not only the fee increases but also to avoid the potential rush of applicants submitting applications at this time.
