Our approach
Let’s just say we’re rethinking immigration
While our approach to every business and individual’s immigration requirements is tailored to their specific needs, The Migration Agency has developed an immigration roadmap that supports and empowers people to realise the outcome they want.
Following a methodical and transparent process, we move our clients through discrete stages - Assessment, Strategy, Preparation, Lodgement and Partnership - keeping our approach personal and professional. Whether you’re a blue chip corporate, savvy SME, or highly skilled tech person breaking new ground, we’ll help carve out a unique roadmap.
People say it’s rethinking immigration. We call it the TMA way.
Although Assessment is our first step with you, it’s where identify the key steps in your migration journey and the timeline to achieve those steps. In short, it’s where we undertake the strategic planning around your immigration requirements.
This step is fundamental. Why? Because each step in the immigration process has different requirements. A skills assessing body’s requirements may differ completely from the Department of Home Affairs’ requirements for a visa. When you don’t understand these differences, it can create challenges during the application process.
Add to this the individual nature of every application. In the business of immigration, every client is different and every person has a unique set of circumstances. It’s why our strategic planning approach is based on taking time to understand our clients’ business and the people who work in them. From the foundation provided through this careful strategic planning, we’re able to make an assessment about the best way forward.
Business In terms of the assessment step, if you’re a business, our team will:Learn more about our approach to immigration strategy
Our approach relies on thorough preparation of all documentation required to realise a successful outcome. Whether it’s implementation of a comprehensive immigration strategy, or a visas for family and partners, we understand preparation is key.
For individuals applying for visas, we provide tailored document checklists based on the latest decision-making trends of the Department of Home Affairs and review these in detail, providing feedback and preparing supporting documentation, if required.
Working with large corporates and entrepreneurial SMEs, we similarly identify documentation requirements, and help our clients with labour market testing, market salary research and supporting submissions to present a client’s case to the Department of Home Affairs. More than simply focusing on a form, a deeper understanding of our client’s business means we’re able to prepare relevant business documents which support the specific immigration application.
Learn more about our Advice and Advocacy for complex immigration matters
Throughout the entire process, you will have direct access to an exceptional TMA senior consultant assigned to you, who will advocate on your behalf to secure a positive outcome. Whether you’re an individual or a business, think of them as your immigration business partner - an extension of your team. Available to discuss your case when you need them, they can answer your questions and if necessary, advocate your case to the Department of Home Affairs.
Once an application is approved by you, our team lodges the application with the Department of Home Affairs. We will only ever lodge an application if we know all documentation is in order. It’s important to us that you know exactly what’s going on for the duration. It’s why we provide our clients with regular updates and liaise with the Department until a decision is received.
At any time during this period if you need reassurance or would like more information, our team is here to help. It’s just another way The Migration Agency makes immigration a personal business.
There are few things more satisfying that advising a client of a successful outcome from their visa application. Regardless of whether we’re sharing the good news with an individual or advising a corporate client, the feeling is always the same: the strong sense that we’ve changed a life.
As soon as The Migration Agency is advised of the outcome, your assigned business partner will contact you directly by phone to advise you of the good news.
We will always follow up with formal correspondence, including all necessary documentation in support of your application.
More than just a one-off transaction, we see ourselves as your immigration partner for life. That’s why our relationship with you doesn't end once a visa is granted.
We partner with business and people, working together to ensure they remain compliant with their visa criteria, anticipating any actions to be taken during the visa validity period. For example, we diarise expiry and renewal dates, including eligibility dates for permanent residence.
Changes in immigration laws and updates can affect visas and we support our clients by tracking and monitoring any changes relevant to them. As part of our ongoing support, we regularly communicate updates, continuing to support our clients well beyond their original visa application.
Many people start their immigration journey with The Migration Agency applying for a temporary visa. Over time, we become partners, working with them as they progress through their permanent residence and citizenship, and beyond, even assisting with family reunification.
