As part of our commitment to enhancing global talent mobility for organisations in Australia, The Migration Agency (TMA) is bringing our Talent Mobility services in-house. This expansion allows us to offer a more seamless, integrated solution for clients, building on our existing expertise in migration and workforce solutions.
Talent Mobility is the process of finding the right people from the right location with the right skills to fit the strategic workforce growth of organisations in Australia.
This expansion strengthens our ability to provide a seamless, end-to-end solution for identifying, recruiting, and onboarding international talent.
Leading this initiative is our new Mobility Manager, Kamisha Davey. Learn more about Kamisha and how our talent mobility services can support your business:
Meet Mobility Manager Kamisha Davey
Kamisha joined the TMA team as the Mobility Manager in late 2024. With a wealth of international experience and a clear understanding of the challenges Australian businesses face, she brings extensive first-person expertise and a global mindset to our team.
Having lived overseas for 20 years and worked for corporate entities, including Booking.com as well as the Australian Government’s Department of Home Affairs, Kamisha is perfectly placed to support our clients as they navigate the complexities of international recruitment, mobility and migration. She is looking forward to providing an end-to-end service covering everything from connecting with trusted international recruitment services to helping new arrivals settle into Australia.
“I looked at the Mobility Manager job description and thought, this is the perfect role for me. The company stays true to its values and is very people-centric, which is exactly what I look for in an employer,” Kamisha says. “I appreciate the way TMA has a clear mission and is focused on personalised service.”
With her extensive background in global mobility, talent mobility and immigration, Kamisha offers valuable insights for businesses navigating these areas. She encourages companies of all sizes to reach out for guidance. “If you have talent gaps that need to be filled, come and speak to us. We will walk you through your options. Introducing overseas talent is not as difficult as you might think, and solutions can be tailored to your needs, for example, recruiting 10 or more people at once,” she adds. “We can help by identifying the most suitable countries to source from and connect you with trusted specialists in the area.”
Kamisha’s lived experience and “passion for people” make her a valuable addition to The Migration Agency. We are excited to see how her leadership will further our mission of providing top-tier global mobility services.
What is Talent Mobility?
When you partner with TMA to expand your business, talent mobility completes the puzzle of international recruiting and onboarding processes. It goes beyond traditional migration services such as navigating the visa process, and encompasses a broader scope which includes planning talent acquisition pathways, sourcing candidates, supporting relocation and ensuring newcomers are integrated smoothly into their new roles and environments.
Talent mobility helps in the following ways:
- International talent mapping: Strategically identifying the best markets to source candidates based on clients’ needs.
- Talent acquisition support: Assisting in sourcing and recruiting candidates by connecting organisations with reputable providers.
- Pre-deployment services: Coordinating aspects such as English language testing, medical checks, health insurance and other pre-arrival requirements.
- Post-arrival support: Ensuring candidates are well-settled and integrated into their new roles and communities.
You don’t have to be a large-scale organisation to benefit from this service. TMA works with all sizes of businesses, including:
- Aged care and healthcare facilities
- Trade businesses
- Manufacturing businesses
- Corporate organisations
- and more
Find out the 5 things HR managers can do to to assist the process of talent mobility.
Talent mobility vs. global mobility vs. talent mapping
While global mobility often refers to relocating existing employees across offices internationally, talent mobility is more expansive. It involves recruiting new talent from overseas and ensuring their smooth transition and integration, making it a critical service for companies looking to expand their workforce globally.
Meanwhile, talent mapping involves identifying and pre-planning where to source candidates based on their qualifications and the specific requirements of their home countries. This is important because each country comes with specific challenges when it comes to immigration (For example, Filipino citizens who intend to work overseas must have an Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC), which can lengthen the talent acquisition process).
Partner with TMA to connect with a global workforce
Partnering with TMA gives you a single point of contact throughout the process, from talent mapping and mobility to traditional talent sourcing, visa approval and support for new arrivals.
Our unique approach delivers a win/win by connecting businesses of all sizes with a global talent database and helping qualified jobseekers (and often their families) to start an exciting new chapter in Australia.
