Our values are brought to life daily in our business every day.
We recruit new team members based on values alignment, we discuss our values at our team meetings and call out team members who have emanated the values during that week. Our team frequently talks about our values as part of our business and their role. For example, our head of immigration, Marianne Bateman, Head of Immigration Services at The Migration Agency was interviewed for a renowned industry publication recently and she spoke highly about our TMA values in that interview and how much they meant to her as an employee. They are ingrained in everything we do as a team.
We also make key decisions in the business by referring to our values. For example, is this going to WOW our customers, does this demonstrate that we have our partners’ back, and so on.
We want to be known as a values-driven company because it’s easy to see when a company’s values and business are aligned.
And it’s easy to see when they are not. For example, the company that states “honesty and integrity” as it’s company value but poaches candidates from its competitors, or the company that has “communication and respect” listed as top values but does not honour its commitments to its employees or treat them well, or the company that states its highest value is “trust” but uses visa sponsorship as a coercive tool.
