NSW to attract more business and investor migrants

NSW State Nominated  Business Investor Visa (subclass 132 Visa)

The NSW Department of Industry has announced improved processing time for the Business Talent (Permanent) visa (subclass 132), effective 29 January 2016.

The new processing times are:

Action Timeframe
Allocation of dedicated Relationship Officer and e-mail acknowledgement of receipt of application 24 business hours
Initial assessment and feedback on the application Five business days
Outcome confirmation for “decision ready” applications Eight weeks

The Business Talent (Permanent) visa (subclass 132) allows potential business and investor migrants to establish a new or develop an existing business in Australia.

The change to the business visa processing time is a signal by the NSW Government that it is working towards attracting more business and investor migrants who undertake business or investment activity in NSW.

Simplified Chinese Guide to Investment in NSW

“Sydney and Regional NSW – Your future starts here” is now available as a downloadable PDF from NSW Department of Industry website.

In 2014, NSW continued to demonstrate it’s attractiveness as a migrant destination. NSW attracted 72% of total Chinese investments in Australia, and Sydney and Regional NSW continue to be top preference for business, investor and entrepreneur migrants to Australia.

“NSW greatly values our strong and growing relationship with China and its people. China is our largest trading partner, our most valuable tourism market, our greatest source of international students and an increasingly important source of investment into NSW.”  (NSW Premier Mike Baird)
